Austin Bloch

Senior Data Manager

After attending the University of Wisconsin-Madison for engineering and computer science, Austin started with Rebate Bus in 2016 as a data analyst. His role transitioned first to overseeing Retail Operations and eventually to his current role as Senior Data Manager.

Austin is in charge of data management and quality assurance. He also manages and maintains the Midstream Rebate verification process in addition to rebate estimates and application submittals. He is passionate about the industry and his ability to educate people on the importance of energy efficiency.

Austin resides in Denver with his cat Astro and enjoys exploring the Rocky Mountains with friends.

Maralina “Moey” Nelms

Residential Project Manager

After leaving a career in retail management, Moey pursued civic purpose and enlisted in the United States Marine Corps. As a Military Police Officer she focused on readiness and training for nearly 600 Marines. At the end of her active service, Moey obtained a Bachelor of Science in Communication Sciences & Disorders and an Associate Degree in American Sign Language.

In 2018, Moey joined Rebate Bus and quickly settled into the role of Residential Project Manager. She coordinates, validates, and balances retail incentives and thrives off of nurturing the relationship between distributor and implementer.

Moey’s hobbies include reading, creating and tailoring original clothing, and watching football. She spends most of her free time baking new recipes and testing them out on her colleagues.

Joel Sandersen

Director of Commercial Operations

An industry veteran, Joel has twenty years of experience working in energy efficiency, including a Master’s Degree in Applied Economics from Marquette University and a Bachelor of Arts in History and Economics from Alma College.

Joel joined Rebate Bus in 2018 and oversees the Commercial Fulfillment and Data Teams. He specializes in developing business intelligence reporting that allows customers to maximize their rebates. In his role, Joel also assists with utility research, project-specific fulfillment work, and business development.

Joel resides in East Central Wisconsin with his wife and two children. He is dedicated to Autism Awareness and enjoys music, video games, and Magic: The Gathering.
