Frontend (React) Developer

Summary

We are hiring a Frontend Developer to join our Development Team and fill a critical role in the development and launch of “Rebate Bus – Version II.”

In this position, you will gain experience building an enterprise system from the ground up and have the opportunity to create never-before-seen industry tools. We are rebuilding, reworking, and reimagining our existing software platform in React. While explicit experience with React is not required, it is certainly beneficial. If you have experience with another framework, let us know! This is a mid-level position with a lot of responsibility and the potential to make a big impact within the company and energy efficiency industry. As such, this position requires organization, creativity, and strong interpersonal skills.

Requirements

Please note: A great candidate may or may not meet all of the criteria below. If you don’t have direct experience with an item listed but have related or transferable experience, please let us know in your cover letter! What’s important to us is a dedication to high-quality work and a willingness to learn new skills.

Please demonstrate:

    • Frontend development with React or another JavaScript framework/library
    • Web development with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript
    • Familiarity with mobile optimization and responsive web design
    • Functional knowledge of SQL databases
    • A strong commitment to organization, planning, and collaboration
    • The ability to communicate complex ideas in small and large team settings

It would be great if you have:

    • Experience with eCommerce development on a platform such as Shopify or Magento
    • Familiarity with Node.js
    • Development experience in Amazon Web Services (AWS) or other cloud infrastructure
    • Web design or graphic design experience
    • Energy industry experience

Commercial Project Manager – Madison, Wisconsin

We are hiring a full-time Commercial Project Manager to work in our Commercial Department. This is an entry level position that requires someone with a positive work ethic and encourages one to willingly voice their opinions. This position involves working with outside clients, along with other Rebate Bus members, on energy efficiency projects that emphasize our philosophy to promote energy efficiency.
Responsibilities

  • Submit and manage rebate projects on the behalf of clients
  • Provide rebate estimates for clients
  • Communicate with clients and utility companies
  • Required Skills/Qualifications:
  • Bachelor degree of any major
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Applications (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.)
  • Qualitative analysis
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to remain organized and to prioritize tasks
  • Professionalism with clients and other team members

Preferred Qualifications

  • Utility or energy efficiency experience
  • Knowledge of energy terminology

Data Analyst Intern – St. Louis, Missouri

Rebate Bus is always hiring data analyst interns at our St. Louis office. These team members help us by analyzing utility rebate applications for our platform. These are entry level positions for anyone who is looking to get experience in the energy industry.

The data will be entered into our web based portal that we have developed. You will be an expert at utility rebates and understand the entire industry within a few weeks.

Skills Desired:

  1. Analyzing Paperwork: The majority of the job will be analyzing rebate programs and entering the relevant data into our system.
  2. General Computer Skills: You should be comfortable using different functions on a computer and navigating websites.
  3. Entrepreneurial Spirit: You care about planet Earth and want to put your skills to use to make a difference.

Rebate Bus is building software to simplify the process for business owners to adopt energy efficient technologies and therefore reduce their energy costs and impact on the environment.
