Governor Cuomo Announces New York Energy Storage Roadmap to Achieve Nation-Leading Target of 1,500 Megawatts by 2025 to Combat Climate Change #REV4NY via @nygovcuomo

.@NYGovCuomo announced during State of the State that #NYGreenBank would make $200M available for #EnergyStorage projects.

To meet this target, NY Green Bank is issuing an RFI to solicit direct interest from project developers

#EnergyStorage Roadmap also recommends $350M to accelerate energy storage deployment, including new #NYSun incentive for solar+storage projects, along with continued efforts to address permitting & siting challenges

NYS #EnergyStorage Roadmap recommends how to reach @NYGovCuomo’s 1,500 MW by 2025 target, which will:

🔋Create 30K jobs by 2030
🔋Deliver $2B of benefits to consumers
🔋Avoid 1 million metric tons of CO2 emissions
🔋Support even more #RenewableEnergy
